A stream of water flowing into a pond with a bridge over it taken at the Missouri Botanical Gardens Japanese Garden Fall 2015. This work is designed to provide stress relief for patients & staff in a medical environment. This type of art is called Evidence Based Design Art, since it follows guidelines from research into hospital design. I just call it "healing art", since that's what it does. This type of art has been shown to reduce patient stays by 22% as well as reducing the pain meds & sedatives they take.
