A decent sized print of this was bought by a collector at one of the Brick & Morter Galleries that I'm in. Creative Art & Framing told me she had found it on my web site & asked them if they had it, so I made print of it & delivered it to them for her to see when she next stopped in. About 2-3 months later she bought it.

I think I saw this once... with my eyes closed... somwhere around '67 "":>) I really like this shot. Even the motion of the colors is intriguing.

Sharon, Thank you. I've always loved water reflections since growing up next to Lake Erie & watching the sunsets over the lake.

Artist's Description

I call this abstract realism because looks like an abstract painting, but was created as a photograph of a real scene and is true to what that scene looked like. This scene was the reflection on the water of the basin at Forest Park St. Louis of the balloon glow going on that night. The parts of the scene that would have made that obvious have been cropped out to achieve the abstract result.
